ALIYA BOWLES

Hello!

With over 20 years of experience as a performer and educator, I bring a deep passion for theatre to every stage and studio I step in. As a professional actress, I’ve had the privilege of performing in the national tour of Spring Awakening, and regional productions of Little Shop of Horrors and Footloose.

In addition to my work on tour, I’ve created and performed in multiple sold-out solo concerts, sharing music that I love and connecting with audiences on a personal level.

Teaching is at the heart of what I do. I love working with students, helping them build confidence, develop strong technique and discover their voice. Whether guiding aspiring performers or nurturing a love of theatre, I’m dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging environment where every student can bloom and flourish.

My philosophy:

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a positive environment where students can have fun while learning and growing. I believe when students feel supported they are more open to taking risks, building new skills, and expressing themselves authentically.

I strive to show them that with the right mindset they can achieve anything they set their minds to. I help students not only improve as performers, but also develop a lasting belief in their own potential.

WHAT I DO:

As a personal acting coach for high school students I specialize in helping them feel fully prepared and confident for auditions and upcoming performances. With a supportive, tailored approach, I work one on one to refine material, strengthen acting choices, and help them feel confident.

Whether you’re preparing for an audition or stepping into a new role, my goal is to help you feel your absolute best grounded, expressive, and ready to connect. Together, we focus on building confidence, sharpening technique, and unlocking the individuality that makes you stand out.

I offer private one on one acting lessons via Zoom, designed to give each student personalized attention and focused coaching. These sessions provide a supportive space to develop acting skills, prepare for auditions, and build confidence from the comfort of your own home.

Through tailored guidance, we’ll work on scene study, monologues, audition technique, and performance skills, helping you grow as a performer while feeling fully prepared and empowered.
